Calling all the businessmen and women! A perfect place for you busy people, Togo Cafe Gourmet, is located at World Trade Center II. First of all, we'd like to thank Billy Oscar for inviting us to this great place!

Why is it perfect for those who don't have the time to sit around to have a decent meal in a restaurant? Cause they have this 'to-go' concept, get it? (Togo - 'to go'). They open early at 7 am, so it's the perfect time to get a decent breakfast to-go OR you can just order something if you're somewhere in the Metropolitan Complex and it's FREE DELIVERY, so no extra charge for delivery.

Well, the bad news is, since their target market is people from the office, they only open on weekdays also and only until 9 pm.

The outlet is really simple and compact, a sign of a fast-paced cafe. The place has a nice tone of white, yellow, and brown plus a playful checkered tiles.

Perfect for the heat of Jakarta! With the freshness of a strawberry and lemon combined with soda water, this fresh cold beverage will surely get you more awake, refreshed and energized. My eyes went straight to this right after I saw the menu because of the super hot days Jakarta has nowadays.

Everyone with a busy schedule needs a doze of caffeine to get their spirits going. From businessman to celebrities, there's always time for them to enjoy a cup of their favorite coffee and here they offer a very nice coffee. Togo actually takes their coffee seriously and they also proudly use 100% Indonesian coffee beans for their unique blends and they promised nothing less than a quality gourmet coffee in every cup and I'm pretty convinced after trying it myself, I even got this cute teddy bear latte art. See, the owner, Mr. Ponti Young, in fact, has a passion for coffee and he creates his own standard for the coffees here in Togo, so are you interested to try Mr. Ponti's standardized coffee?

Grilled rice with slow cooked beef.
Indonesian's signature cuisine, rendang with rice grilled in banana leaves which made it really fragrant, you can smell the sweet aroma right after the waiter came out with it. The plating is really unique, but you still need to unwrap it though, even if it does looks like a burrito. Inside the rice is peanuts, tempeh orek, cassava leaves, and rendang, so it's bound to be a bit spicy.

3 scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, hash brown, beef bacon, chicken sausages, grilled tomato, toasted baguette.
A perfect breakfast made for a boss. It's healthy and filling, with the appropriate price you'll get the whole package of nutrients. My favorite was the mushrooms and eggs. Really recommend this dish for your breakfast, it'll provide you with the energy you need to start your busy day. Remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day -Spongebob.

Grilled marinated chicken rolled in naan bread with yogurt, fresh pickles and fragrant rice.
Tandoori chicken is a popular North Indian dish consisting of roasted chicken prepared with yogurt and spices (source: Wikipedia), and as far as I know, Indian spices are supposed to have strong flavors, too bad this one was a bit bland, but maybe it was because of the naan bread, cause I really couldn't taste anything from the naan bread. Naan bread is usually combined with something that has a strong flavor and sauce but since they also add rice to it, the strong flavor a tandoori chicken is supposed to have was overpowered by the blandness. This one's not really my cup of tea.

Our Spicier twist of everyone`s Italian Favourite [add tuna (12K), add corned beef (12K)]
Italian and Indonesian fusion, for those who like spicy food, you won't even call this spicy, but this is spicy enough for an Italian dish. A simple Aglio Olio with a twist of Indonesian chili, cabe rawit, and with affordable price too, you can also add tuna or corned beef with just IDR 12K.

200 gr beef patty with watercress, caramelized onions, cheese and mushrooms. All in all, ½ kg of a meal.
Out of all dish I tried here, this is the best pick! This monster burger is really worth your IDR 79K and it has the best toppings, just look at that beautiful melted cheese, with extra fries on the side. Soft homemade buns with tender and juicy patty, completed with caramelized onions and mushrooms, what more do you need?

Seared marinated chicken fillet, carrot and daikon pickles, fresh chilies, heaps of coriander and finally stuffed in a baguette. Outstanding!
The actual history of Togo is because the owner thinks that Indonesia needs more restaurants that has a decent sandwich and a sandwich is perfect for a to-go concept. You should try this if you ever come visit, cause this is how a decent sandwich actually taste, delicious and filling. Fyi, they make their own dough.

Don't know if this is open for public or I was just lucky enough to get this opportunity. Yeap! I got to try making my own crepes, though it's not as easy as it looks, but at least I get to add any toppings I want and as much as I want. The texture of the crepes is not crispy like D'crepes, but more chewy like how real crepes are suppose to be, you can add sugar, chocolate, cheese, and peanuts. There's a Crepe Coffee package at 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm, Crepe with any of 2 toppings + Regular Hot Coffee / Tea only for IDR 35K.

Didn't get to try any desserts so to satisfy my sweet-tooth, I ordered this French Vanilla and it was worth it. The blended sweetness is perfect for me, though if you don't like sweets, I don't recommend this and I doubt you even want to try it, since it clearly said 'French Vanilla'. They have many interesting milkshakes like; Belgian Chocolate, Oreo & Cream, Summer Strawberry Kiss, and Mocha Shake, all which literally made me indecisive.

Got to have a pleasant lunch with some amazing people, it was a great experience! Thank you Mr. Ponti Young and Chef Revo for sharing your stories and knowledge! Next time, I'll definitely come back to try all the other milkshakes and desserts that I didn't get to try, since I already planned to go to Baker's Gallery for desserts (reviews coming soon).
