And yet another review of Pantai Indah Kapuk..I think we'll soon turn into PIK Blogger or something..lol! Bet there'll be another new restaurant next month or even less than a month! This one's called Kiin and I just think that the outer appearance is sooo cool! It's definitely unique and unlike the other Pantai Indah Kapuk tenants!

The interior's really neat and simple, perfect for a photoshoot, though the heat's a bit too much for me, since it's not fully enclosed. If you're lucky, you'll get a great silhouette on the wall, which will make a perfect background!

What I love the most about this place is the pretty porcelain tiles! Though it's very Asian, I find it elegant!

For you who's afraid of heat, don't worry, they also have a cooler area. The side effect of this area is that it's darker, especially for photos. This place's pretty spacey with a layout that you won't find in any other restaurant at PIK!

Though the design's simple, it still looks luxurious, don't you think?

Look at this crazy looking chandelier! Lol!

With green beans and kaffir lime leaves.

Since it has curry in it, it's typically spicy, though I find it much more similar to Indonesian cuisine rather than Thai and I could say that it suits my taste! :p I could just picture eating this with rice and it'll be a perfect combination! The pork belly's really generous too, you can find more of them below the green beans, so get diggin'!

If you see here, the portion might not look much but in reality it's pretty big. Guess that pictures aren't always better than the reality..lol!

With smoked chili relish and tamarind sauce.

If you haven't notice, this is actually an appetizer. Love how the pork collar's super tender, though I don't feel how this is Thai cuisine but at least it's good! Extra points from the fried shallots! The only thing Thai about this dish is the tamarind dipping sauce!

I do prefer this without the tamarind sauce, since it's tasty enough as it is. If you use the tamarind sauce, it'll become more sweet and sour, rather than savory!

Though I'm not a big fan of mints, the nutella's strong enough to overpower the mint and that's what made me like this! It's refreshing because of the mint and it's not overly sweet and overflowing with nutella, love!

With pandan custard dip.

Better known as cakwe..lol! Nothing's really special about this other than the pandan custard dipping. I'd suggest you eat this while it's warm 'cause once it turns cold, it'll be harder to chew, just like any other cakwe you'll find in the market!

With black sticky rice, roasted peanuts, coconut flesh, and mango sauce.

Now this is what I definitely recommend!! I was actually gonna go for some mango sticky rice, since it's my favorite dessert in a Thai restaurants but there's none here!! :( So the staff recommended that I try this, since he said it's similar and I decided to give it a go!

Thank God, it's not disappointing! Instead, the ice cream's super yummy, even though it's coconut! Drizzled with mango sauce, the coconut taste is overpowered by it, which is a good thing for me. Below is the black colored sticky rice, the orange balls there is somewhat like tapioca balls. What makes it better is the peanuts, which I think goes really well with the whole thing, especially the coconut flesh. You MUST try this!

I think it's been such a long time since we talked about Thai foods. Lately, it's been Japanese, so this is pretty nice change. Do hope that more varieties of cuisine will land itself SOON in Jakarta! And it's the end of August! How time flies..see you in September! :D

Yeah!! Another new interesting dining place has arrived near my place and it's Japanese too! Double points then! :p The place is called Osaka Maru and it's at Lippo Mall Puri. You can clearly see the place upon entering the main entrance of the mall before going to the parking area. I just want to take a minute to be grateful of this mall! Since it opened, there has been a lot of interesting restaurants invading, even Eric Kayser is here!

Love how the interior is really earthy and colorful! It's not that spacey but it does have a second floor and it has so many windows that makes this place filled with natural light! That only goes for the first floor though, since the second floor is way darker!

Since there's a lot of flowers and there's also a giant tree in the middle with the subtle colorfulness, I really feel like I'm in a garden or something and yet they managed to still have this fine-dining atmosphere!

Upon entering, you just have to look up and see these colorful umbrellas! Never really gave Japanese umbrellas that much of a thought until after I saw it!

This is definitely my favorite shot taken here! I could really make this a wallpaper, it's so pretty!

Welcomed with these delicious rolls and dipping! There're 3 types of dipping; butter, olive oil, and balsamic and my favorite would be balsamic!

Black burger bun, beef patty, unagi, fresh sunkist.

Though I could say that they're really cheap with the unagi, I still find this super delicious! My favorite part would be how the sunkist just freshen up the heavy taste! You might think that the portion is way too small for the price but I think with the taste and quality they offered, this is a reasonable price!

You gotta eat it all in 1 go! Don't leave anything behind!

Grill beef with asian herb, hokkigai surf clam, uni sauce.

This is my favorite dish here! Other than the fact that it's all meat, it's also super tender and grilled to perfection with a super fresh clam! I didn't even notice that it was clam, since there's no smell whatsoever! Super amazed with the quality and their attention to details!

Look at the color! Perfect medium rare grilled beef!

Breast of duck, romano letus, pomelo with black sauce.

This one's also good but after the beef hokkigai, this didn't came as big of an impact. It's still super good too though. I especially love how the pomelo lightens the whole taste and the black sauce really makes you wonder!

Spicy salmon, red chilli, nori tempura, eel sauce, spicy mayonize.

Can you believe that even their sushi is superb? Well, I never thought that sushi can taste bad, so this one's a given I guess..lol! Yet this is seriously good too, again not as big of an impact but still plenty of good points! It has a bit of a spicy kick but nothing I can't tolerate and the nori tempura gave it a nice crunchy texture! Yum!

This place really amazed me! Not only do they offer high quality dishes, but also high quality service! Really amazed with how friendly the server was, especially when we were indecisive about our table!

Hey there!! Been a while since the last time we posted about a dessert cafe, huh? Guess where this new dessert cafe called D&K, which stands for Dessert Kitchen, has landed! Yeap, it's Pantai Indah Kapuk..again! Located in line with WooYoo, the outer appearance of this place really attracted me! They have that seat that looks like swings and I love swings! :p

The only part that amused me the most is the swing-like seats near the entrance actually, other than that, it's mostly ordinary. I feel kinda bad seeing how deserted this place is tho!

Don't know why they only open from 3 pm till 10. Maybe cause they guessed no one would want to have desserts for lunch or at midnight? Well, they just haven't met us yet! Lol!

The whole place is covered with warm, earthy colors is what I love! Fyi, there's a huge squirrel on top of this building if you haven't notice..lol! Yeap, the mascot of this place is a squirrel, hence the earthy atmosphere!

Kinda left me speechless..though not because it was spectacular, quite the opposite actually. It's so plain and ordinary that I'm at lost for words! The only thing that's quite good is the ice cream but I think all ice creams taste good! Other than ice cream, there's mango bits and meringue cookies.

You can choose mango, chocolate, or vanilla for the ice cream and it all cost the same. The portion was quite a lot with that 4 slices of toast but the flavors kinda crash with each other, maybe I chose the wrong ice cream flavor? Though the toast was perfectly good, the ice cream wasn't able to even the whole thing. It's unfortunate how they're generous with the toast but not the ice cream!

They offered us this durian puff as a tester, whereas the actual portion has 6 pieces for IDR 60K. It may be expensive but it's really worth it because this is SUPERB! For durian lovers out there, you gotta try this! The durian filling doesn't taste artificial at all!! It's like they used actual durian in it. I'd definitely recommend this one!

Wasn't really expecting anything, so I wasn't really disappointed. I don't really know why but it's really rare for me to find an outstanding dessert cafe! I just wished there'll be more of them soon! Well, there's always space for improvements. Good luck!
