So, remember that we've posted about Nama Sushi in Baywalk? Well, they've opened another branch at Living World! Whoop whoop! Plus, not only a new branch but they've also come up with some new menus and we got the chance to try it. Here we go!
ABURI MAGURO DON IDR 70K
If you're looking for something fulfilling then they have this don filled with maguro and avocado, plus a super tempting egg yolk! If you wanted to try this but also the other sushi or sashimi then go right ahead cause the portion of this is pretty small, so I bet it won't be overwhelming!
SOBA TOFU IKURA IDR 30K
Not a big fan of tofu, so I can't really say much but this is one soft tofu! It's kinda bland without the sauce tho and I guess it's pricey for a tofu but the ikura is a pretty nice safe!
SPICY MENTAI AKA EBI SUSHI IDR 50K
Love this! When it comes to prawns, it's very delicate about the freshness and I'm glad that this here is fresh and who doesn't love a good mentai? Fyi, even though the name says it's spicy, it's not really spicy, just a little prick on the tongue, that's all!
NAMA UNI SUSHI IDR 130K
Yes, I know..crazy price but it's a sea urchin and that's rare! I'm in the middle of forgiving and not forgiving the price because of the rare uni but still, the price is shocking for the portion and place, since Nama sushi is somehow known for their reasonable price!
MENTAI IKA SUGATA SUSHI IDR 70K
Mentai filled squid rolls on a stick, yeap, that pretty much sums it up..lol! Thank goodness the squid isn't that 'never-ending-chew' texture, which means it's cooked perfectly. Nice!
HOTATE FOIE GRAS SUSHI IDR 50K
Yes, it's foie gras on a scallop. See what I told you about reasonable price! Even these 2 expensive ingredients are served together with good bargain. Though I'm not that big of a fan of foie gras, this is pretty good to me!
ENGGAWA NAKAOCI UNAGI SUSHI IDR 95K
So enggawa here is parts of muscles in a tail fin of a flatfish, where one flatfish usually only has 4 pieces of it..another rare item! Paired up with the all time favorite unagi, I can't really complain about the price. Taste pretty good but that might just be because we're biased about unagi..lol!
AKA EBI KIMIZU SUSHI IDR 55K
It is said that this aka ebi or red shrimp contains a lot of moisture and fat in the body, so they served this with kimizu and yuzu sauce to balance the fat. The tangy yuzu definitely evens out the overwhelming fat!
MENTAI SALMON BELLY ABURI SUSHI IDR 35K
Come on..what can go wrong with mentai salmon belly? As long as everything is fresh, you can only expect goodness and Nama has impressed me with their quality, no doubt!
SALMON TATAKI IDR 40K
A fresh way of having your salmon sashimi. For this one, I think you can skip the wasabi. It's not something out of the ordinary or new but it's a guaranteed fresh and good quality!
HOTATE UNIYAKI IDR 105K
Scallop and sea urchin, why not? Their new menus are just filled with rare stuffs, huh? Is this to balance out their reasonable price? Why am I asking so much? Sorry, nevermind my random thoughts but what I want to say is that this is something you might want to try, since it's not something you can find just anywhere!
MENTAI SALMON ABURI SUSHI IDR 25K
Yes, they have a choice of mentai salmon aburi or mentai salmon belly aburi with only IDR 10K difference. I'd go for the salmon belly but the fat do sometimes made me think twice..lol!

We'll be waiting for more Nama Sushi branches to come and hoping that they'll keep control of their quality and service, since a lot of restaurants has different quality for each branch they open!
