Yes, our hunger for hunting down new restaurants can never be satisfied! From the beginning of our blog 'till now, that hunger is still as strong..lol!
There are people who's not interested in trying new restaurants that no one has been to before because of the fear of bad foods but to us it's the total opposite. We long for the experience of trying the fresh newly opened restaurant and this time, we went to the pretty new mall, Neo Soho. Since the place is fairly new, there are still a lot of new restaurants that will soon open here. We went to one of the newly opened Japanese restaurant called Icida, located at the top floor near the foodcourt!
Okay, confession time! All the photos here are taken with an Iphone 7 (New phone. Yeay! :p) and also our best friend, Aditya's Sony A5000. Why you ask? Well, it's not to try new things but because of my own carelessness of not charging my camera's battery..so I deeply apologize if the photos aren't like the usual from the angles and everything, it's mostly because of the distortion!
We came here around lunch time but don't know why, once again we're the only customers here! Is it because they're new? Well anyways, I really loved how the interior's very Japanese and the prices are also pretty affordable, surprisingly..c'mon then!
Rooms divided into 2 sections, the left side is where they make the sushi and sashimi, whereas the right side is the teppanyaki and yakitori bar!
I guess this could be a private room for reservations?
Not much could be said about the interior, since it is what it is, just a simple Japanese themed restaurant!
Can you believe that these 3 fat slices of fresh Salmon only cost IDR 20,8K?! Wow!
SALMON MAKI (6PCS) IDR 31,8K
All of the sushi here comes with an option of 3 or 6 pieces, which is awesome if you're planning to try everything out. Well, Salmon Maki taste pretty much the same anywhere..lol!
BEEF KATSU ALA CARTE IDR 44,8K
This is that one dish that I'm super attracted to at first but it's too bad that it turns out the beef was a bit too hard, maybe because it's overly well-done, though I already told them to not overcook it. Oh well, the flavor still taste good at least!
You can also turn this into a set menu that costs IDR 69,8K, it'll come with rice and miso soup!
YAKITORI SHIO IDR 20,8K/PCS
Chicken and leek..pretty much it. Tastes good but nothing special!
GYU ENOKI SHIO IDR 24,8K/PCS
This was amazing!! Well, a gyu enoki can't ever be bad actually..lol!
They have a lot of sushi rolls and from the names to pictures, they all look tempting! Which is why it kinda got me torn on what to get and finally we went with these ones;
CRISPY MENTAI ROLL (6PCS) IDR 61,8K
I guess you could say that this is their signature dish. It's good, not special, but good. Ingredients are cooked salmon and kyuri topped with that tempting mentai sauce!
SALMON CHEESE ROLL (6PCS) IDR 50,8K
I was disappointed with this one, since in the picture, the cheese is supposed to be torched 'till it melted. In reality, well, you can see for yourself..it's no where torched and it's like they just carelessly put the cheese on top. :( In the end, the cheese was overpowered by the taste of kyuri..err, what?!
PRAWN CAVIAR CHEESE ROLL (3PCS) IDR 28,8K
I totally loved this over the last one. The ebi tempura inside is definitely there and the spicy mayo on top just makes everything come together nicely! Yum!
They actually have a wide range of menu with lots of variations but that's also they're downside as they seem to lose what they wanted to focus on, so there isn't that special and memorable dish. Everything is just ordinary to me but if you're craving for sushi then you should give this a try!
