Yet again, Sarirasa group has made another invention to boost our local cuisine! This time it's a peranakan cuisine, which is a mix of Indonesian and Chinese cuisine. The place is called Gopek and it's in Grand Indonesia's Sky Bridge, on the 5th floor!

Yay to Birdman!! Even before coming here, I've already seen their interesting foods on Instagram! It's all pretty simple, yet attractive but the type that you have to order a lot, if you want to be full..lol! It's inside the Tower B of Parc18, in the same area as Bistecca & Dutch. Find them on your GPS if you're confused!
A chain restaurant from the foreign country that serves Thai food has arrived in Indonesia! Though the owner is actually from Malaysia. It's called Boat Noodle and located at Gandaria City's Main Street Dining, across of BCA!
A super gorge place has landed itself at Pluit Village! Well, we don't go to this mall often, so we don't really know if this is new or not but we're guessing it's new..lol! The place is called Le Diliel and it's another one owned by the owner of Commune Space. Yes, everything in Commune Space here is literally owned by the same owner, except for The Onnie Studio, which is owned by Julie Taslim!
Yeap, if you've know about the coffee hype in Jakarta, you'd definitely be familiar with this one. It's the one and only Anomali Coffee! With a lot of their branch opening here and there, this particular coffee shop is definitely a reliable place to grab your caffeine needs before work! This time, we went to the one at Menteng!
Not only known for their coffee, Anomali also serves up some pretty hardcore foods and now they've decided to change their whole food menu into something more local with a special theme, Street Heritage! As it is their goal to introduce Indonesia through their finest coffee, they also decided to suit their foods to the same goal, hence how the theme is born!
This is a place that would be very familiar if you often visit Kemang. A place that has been there for 9 years, it's Ecology! Though it's a pretty old place, they've just finished renovated last May. They've changed their concept into more of a bistro now. Fyi, they've used to open from dusk to dawn but now, they only open 'till midnight!

Okay, I admit, Indonesia is super good in terms of plagiarism..lol! Once they see 1 business doing amazing, I bet there will be similar business appearing, not just one but a few! Don't really know if you can call this creative or cunning! Well, there's no doubt that when people ask you about fish and chips in Jakarta, the answer would mostly be Fish n Co., right? Later on, because Fish n Co. is considered pricey, Fish Streat was born and has become very popular because of the cheap price, it even has 6 branches now! Wow, right?
It's not everyday we hang out not at our hometown and in a new place no less! The cafe is called La Costilla and they opened in the middle of June, so it's only a month old! They are the type of a hits cafe with a photo spot, which is at their backyard with a Mexican theme! There's like cactus and stuff, like those cafes you'd found in Bali. Let's check'em out!
So we finally got the chance to try this hits Indonesian restaurant that we've been seeing around social medias, it's KAUM everybody! Actually we're not really someone who'd search for Indonesian food when it comes to high end places. We're more like 'Indonesian foods are best when it's traditionally made' kind of people, so if we're looking for a good Indonesian comfort food, we'd usually just go to a small shop or even those small stands!
Back to nature!! Yeah! This time it's a more reachable location and wallet friendly! Only IDR 15K for entrance fee (which will become a meal coupon anyways!). The name is Tafso Barn and it's just in Bandung, Punclut area. It's about 30 minutes from Pasteur (without traffic jam) and I went there at 9 AM because any later and you'll be stuck in traffic, especially since the road is pretty small and not a one way. The morning I went there, the road is still pretty clear, I guess it's also because it's still Lebaran, where they also open earlier!
