First time trying Ritz Carlton's Lobo and I kinda understands now why the exposure is not that much compared to their Asia Restaurant. First is probably because it's a la carte rather than a buffet and it's European fine dining. I think people would prefer trying a hotel's buffet than a la carte? Came here at lunch time and all the customers are all businessmen and professional people, definitely a different vibe!

The review here is more to inform that Lobo has a business lunch set menu. There are 2 choices, a 2 courses for IDR 288K or 3 courses for IDR 388K. Now this is where I personally think that with the price of IDR 388K, I'd prefer to go on their buffet restaurant but again, their market's target is totally different!

The pre-appetizer, which is somewhat like a cheese stick with cream cheese at the bottom? Maybe? Lol! It's not on the menu by the way!

Here's the amuse bouche and again it's not on the menu. This is pickled dish, so it's sour and refreshing. Perfect to arouse your appetite!

Now we're starting it's first course! This one is called Black Crab Bisque, which is a soup with a lot of crab meat in it. There's also a curry taste and I find it unfamiliar, though very acceptable!

Second course is Bouillabaisse, that's a very complicated and long word, isn't it? Lol! On top is like a cracker with red bell pepper powder and saffron.

Below that cracker are snapper, octopus, and honey clam. You can't really see it because it's all mixed together with yellow sauce, so the taste is also similar. The only difference is in the texture!

There's also this sauce that will be poured making the whole dish to taste pretty much the same..lol! Still, it's good and taste kinda familiar, though I can't really put my finger on what it is!

Can you believe that there's a pre-dessert before the actual dessert? Yeay! This is called Cendol Espuma. I guess this is an upgraded kind of cendol, huh? If you taste the cream, it's actually like the brown sugar in Cendol and below it is the actual cendol, so you need to mix it together to get the real taste of Es Cendol!

Ta-dah! Here's the actual dessert called Black Forest! Very unique kind of Black Forest, isn't it?

A sour Cherry Coulis will be poured into this!

Once you break the ball, then will you find the Black Forest cake! This is super good but filled with cream, so I didn't dare to finish it. :'(
