Yeah, a new Japanese restaurant in J-town! It's called Meatman Nikuo and located in Summitmas 1 building near SCBD. I know about this place because my friend came here before and the foods look interesting, so here I am!

I'm guessing that it's gonna be a decent authentic restaurant from what I saw in their very Japanese type of Instagram post. Oh and don't worry about the salt at the entrance, it's believed to prevent any bad omen by the Japanese!

So sad that this place only open till 10 pm, unlike most Japanese restaurant with a bar that opens till late night. The restaurant is a smoking allowed, so be ready to get your hair and clothes reek of smoke, just a little tho..lol!

They have a more private room and the regular ones. Read on to see them all, 'kay?

They also have a bar table here and it's usually the Japanese people that sits here. I guess Indonesian's would prefer the regular table as Japanese are more individualist?

Very Japanese, isn't it?

Menu book that looks like a Japanese magazine? Check! What I love about this menu book is that it's complete with the menu's pic, so you won't be confused on what to get, plus the price is pretty reasonable!

Spaghetti with stir fried beef. Got this because almost all Instagram post of this place has this menu and it does look appetizing. It's also the right choice cause this is super gewd! Served with a hot pan and be sure to mix it up. Love how it's not dry but just a tad bit oily and very savory!

The beef they use has little fat and somewhat like those gyudon types!

Pork's a bit dry and hard to chew, overcooked maybe? Smells wonderful tho cause of all those onions, yes, those thing below the meat is all onions. I don't recommend if you don't like onions tho cause even with the hot pan the onions would still be half cooked!

A very common dish here. Fried chicken with tartar sauce but what's different here is the very strong flavor! I'd recommend eating this with rice cause it's definitely overwhelming after a while. You can also detect the vinegar taste, though it's leaning more to the sweet side!

At first, I was definitely underestimating these, since I thought that the taste would be very predictable. Turns out, it's beyond my expectation! Taste way better to the point where I think I'd be able to eat 10 of these, too bad it's kinda expensive..lol!

All these cost pretty much IDR 300K or so but it's definitely worth it! I'd totally come back for more! Plus, they're not that well known yet. I'd suggest coming here at lunch cause you'd save more by getting their lunch package!

This is the more private room I told you before. On the left is tatami and the right, regular table!
